Preparing to go to the Beach Project!

On November 19th we had a meeting with lots of students at Jimmy & Maggie’s apartment. It was great, Jeff spoke about the Kingdom of God and then we had a brief discussion about some of the great teachings of Jesus Christ about the kingdom. For example: we discussed this passage:
"I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

After the meeting we had a great time singing karaoke! Be sure to check out the pictures.

This Saturday we will have one more meeting to talk about our beach project so please pray for us in all we do, that God will be known and people will grow in love and in grace!

PARABÉNS (Happy Bithday!)

Today is my 27th birthday.
First thought that came to my mind “you are getting old!”
Second thought “yes, that is true! I am the oldest among all students and I am for real getting old.” Heheheh!

But then, I was excited to think what God has done in my life over this 27 years.
How privileged I am to get to know Christ my savior when I was a teenager.
How privileged I was to have someone that was helping me grow spiritually and helping me to love others telling them all that I have experienced with Jesus.
How privileged I am to share the great news with people in the entire world (God gave opportunity to leave one year in Germany, spent couple month in US, do a short mission trip in South Africa and go to conference in Thailand)
How privileged I am to be a servant of God, have my heart filled with the holy Spirit!

Thank you Lord for all you mercy and grace upon my life!
You alone are enough for me but you have blessed me with so much!
I love you and worship you!
You are my delight! In you I will rejoice!

Staff Stimulus

This week was our annual staff stimulus... our once-a-year meeting with our staff team for a week of stimulus.
This year we had meetings with Jim Petersen (works with the Navigators). He spent 18 years in Brazil during the 60's and 70's working with college students.

It was great to hear from him. His vision and passion for Christ has chalenge and encourage us so much!

Pray that God will guide our team through all the complexity that is to do mission among pos modern students. Pray that God will be honored and praised by all that we do!

Cristina is back!

I am so glad that Cristina, my girlfriend, is back home. She was 7 weeks in US .

What a loving testimony she gave when for the sake of the students she has already met (action)and the ones she will meet one day (vision) to go to another land to build partnership that will make possible to make her a servant for all students in UFMG that want to know Christ personally.

She is a great example for me of transformation. God can change lives and make people love one another!
